The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton dodges the punch combination from Melcher.
Nice takedown defense from Horton. No joy for Melcher on that attempt.
Melcher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Melcher counters with a one-two to the body.
Horton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Melcher circles away quickly and effectively.
Horton misses with the combination.

Melcher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Melcher showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Horton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Polo throws a chopping leg kick but Hefernon manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Hefernon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Polo throws a sloppy head kick and Hefernon moves out of range easily.
Polo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Polo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
