The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinescu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dinescu lands a jab.

It looks like Hammer Hands has been cut.
Hands darts in looking for a takedown but Dinescu gets double underhooks and turns Hands into the ropes.
Dinescu drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hands defends it well.
Costea Dinescu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dinescu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hands's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dinescu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hands scrambles back to his feet.

Genesis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Genesis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stephens sprawls well initially but Genesis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stephens is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Mo's ($499), so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Stephens has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Genesis is working away from the top position though.
My spies in MMA Sanok Training Center inform me that Genesis has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
