D Amato's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Murphy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! D Amato scrambles back to his feet.

Murphy cracks D Amato with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Murphy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning D Amato to stand back up!

D Amato is rocked!
Murphy cracks D Amato with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends D Amato tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Murphy pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! D Amato is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cedric Murphy!
After winning the bout, Cedric Murphy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
