The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Narong defends it nicely.
Fa Ya Narong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Narong closes the distance and clinches.

Rua jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Narong walks away with a smile on his face. Rua gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Narong, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Narong against the cage but Narong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fa Ya Narong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Rua.

Narong pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Rua was done - good stoppage!
