The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Mir there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sammy Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mir misses with a head kick.
Suarez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mir clinches.
Mir digs a right hand into Suarez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Suarez's gas tank.
Mir makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Suarez has had enough of the clinch but Mir keeps him there for the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Suarez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Suarez throws a push kick but Mir slaps the foot to one side.

Mir throws a low kick but it's checked well by Suarez.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mir lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Suarez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Suarez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Suarez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mir tries to bum rush Suarez with a series of wild strikes but Suarez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mir keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Suarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mir circles away quickly and effectively.
Mir fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Suarez is out of range.
Mir feints and then cracks Suarez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Suarez down.
Mir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mir takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Suarez rushes Mir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mir works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Suarez with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Suarez wants to break free but Mir has control.
Mir throws a head punch that misses.
Suarez blocks an uppercut.
Suarez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Suarez has Mir pressed against the cage. He pushes Mir back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Suarez throws a beautiful elbow that sends Mir crashing to the floor! Suarez piles on the pressure with more strikes! Mir is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

I think Schmiddy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Devil. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Schmiddy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schmiddy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Schmiddy down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Schmiddy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Schmiddy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stankevich bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fist's head backwards.

Stankevich on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Stankevich throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fist half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Fist. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fist.
Fist uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stankevich.
Fist looks to score with a jab to the body but Stankevich is just out of range.
Fist connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Stankevich to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Fist!
