Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Abrams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Siller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Siller!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abrams has managed to clinch.
Abrams leaning against his opponent.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Siller stalling in the clinch but Abrams improves position.
Abrams stops a takedown attempt from Siller.

Abrams has Siller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Abrams pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Siller tumbling to the mat - Abrams dives into Siller's guard.

Abrams shoots in for a double leg but Siller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Siller tries to close the distance and clinch but Abrams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Abrams stuffs the takedown attempt from Siller. Siller gets slowly back to his feet.

Siller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Abrams manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Abrams is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Siller throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Siller with a flurry of punches that miss.
Siller trying to control the position from guard on top but Abrams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Siller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Abrams is proving hard to escape from.
Siller is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Abrams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Siller defends it easily.
Abrams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Abrams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abrams wants it to stay on the feet.

Siller throws a nice looking combination but Abrams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Siller tries a head kick but it misses.
Abrams lunges at Siller with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Siller's hand.
Abrams comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Steve Siller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Abrams catches Siller with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Abrams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Abrams.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Abrams for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Siller is working for takedown but Abrams is calmly controlling the position for now.

Abrams tightens his grip and picks Siller up, before dumping him to the ground. Siller manages to land in guard.

Yamanaku tries to keep at a distance but Hlasko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Yamanaku is trying to push Hlasko away but Hlasko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hlasko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yamanaku tries to clinch but Hlasko moves out of range.
Yamanaku will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hlasko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yamanaku fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hlasko cracks Yamanaku with an open hand slap.
Yamanaku rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hlasko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hlasko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A combination from Hlasko does no damage.

Yamanaku takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Marek Hlasko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yamanaku wants to clinch but Hlasko slips to the side
and Hlasko counters with a left and a right that stings Yamanaku.
Yamanaku takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hlasko cracks Yamanaku with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hlasko is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Yamanaku like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Yamanaku from another fist facial!

Podolski tries to clinch there but Swanson circles away.
Swanson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Podolski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Swanson somewhat.

Podolski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swanson is trying to control Podolski's posture. Podolski takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Swanson! Podolski is rotating here... this could be the end... Swanson is out! Podolski has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
