Hale seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mattos for as long as he can get away with.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hale walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The fighters circle, before Mattos throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hale's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Mattos lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Wang shoots in looking for a takedown but Fukuda manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fukuda's waist but Fukuda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wang off to one side.

Fukuda is looking to defend but Wang has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fukuda! Wang pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fukuda taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hussain . Hurmaaja does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hurmaaja shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hussain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hurmaaja throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hussain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hurmaaja defends it easily.
Hurmaaja has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hussain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hurmaaja manages to get himself to full guard.

Hurmaaja is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Hurmaaja is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Hurmaaja maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hussain could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hurmaaja has cracked it and Hussain is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hurmaaja!

Moshington throws a right hand that Anttila ducks under and follows up with a left that Anttila also avoids with ease.
Moshington throws a left and a right that both miss

and Anttila counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moshington won't be happy with that.
Moshington is looking to regain half guard here but Anttila keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Moshington's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Moshington gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Moshington wants to hold on but Anttila pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anttila looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Moshington wants to control but Anttila is having none of it.
Moshington is squirming around, avoiding Anttila's attempts to control the action.

Anttila is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Moshington can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Anttila is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Moshington to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Moshington shrugs it off.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moshington wants to hold on but Anttila pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moshington is desperately trying to improve his position but Anttila has a good base and remains in mount.
Moshington has given up his back here.

Anttila working for a choke but Moshington is defending well.
Moshington is really stuck here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moshington prevents Anttila from getting a body triangle.

Moshington wants to control his opponent's hands but Anttila gets his hands free.
Anttila has good solid back control here.

Anttila working for a choke but Moshington is defending well.
Moshington trying to control the position but Anttila manages to sink in the hooks.
Moshington might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anttila haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Anttila is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Moshington knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Moshington for a finish.

Moshington has his foot on Anttila's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anttila works his way back into a safe position though.
Moshington looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Moshington content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Anttila has locked up a guillotine! Anttila's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Moshington is holding on here and Anttila must be using up a lot of energy. Moshington has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Anttila gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
