The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massacre shoots in for a double leg but Superior sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Superior lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Massacre backwards.
Massacre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Superior gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Superior is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Massacre is just riding it out for now. Superior eventually gives up the hold.

Superior seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Massacre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Superior passes the guard and advances to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Superior works his way to his opponent's back.
Massacre prevents Superior from getting a body triangle.
