Brown shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hefernon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hefernon regains half guard.
Hefernon is looking for a sweep. Brown is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Brown scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown is nestled in close to Hefernon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hefernon has hold of Brown's hands but Brown slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hefernon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hefernon is looking to improve his position.
Brown working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kontos closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rogan! Kontos dives in looking to finish! Rogan is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Dante Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Johny Persecutioned spoke after the fight, saying 'I l-l-losses.. Immm n-n-ot hap-py now, b-b-ut conrrgracts to to mm-my opponnnent and his ma-ma-managem-nt'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph cracks the inside of Brown's front leg.

Brown feints and as Randolph raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown is really struggling to control Randolph but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Randolph controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Kosti Lom has been cut.
Lom's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dietrich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lom scrambles back to his feet.
Dietrich throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lom appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Lom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hans Dietrich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Lom connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lom lands a nice shot to the body.

Dietrich takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lom dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lom comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lom throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lom lunges at Dietrich with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dietrich's hand.
Lom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lom cracks Dietrich with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lom has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dietrich to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lom sends Dietrich crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lom is motioning to the referee to let Dietrich up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Dietrich is rocked!
Dietrich walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Lom swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
