The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Convict thuds a left hand into Acero's body.

The Convict closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Acero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Convict on the ground.

Acero is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Convict scores with a couple of nice shots.

The Convict looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Acero is looking to control The Convict's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Acero avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Convict takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The Convict in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Acero tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from The Convict!

Galle Jr lands with a straight right. Stewart didn't see that one coming.
Stewart walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stewart misses with a few strikes there.

Alf Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Galle Jr catches Stewart with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Galle Jr darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Stewart has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Galle Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with Stewart's head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Galle Jr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stewart rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Galle Jr counters with a straight right hand.
Galle Jr cracks Stewart with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Stewart tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Galle Jr pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Stewart is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ville Galle Jr!
Ville Galle Jr decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

Budlung kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Killing Time - Pennywise. Nice combo by Lighting! Oh, that's hurt him - Budlung falls to the canvas and Lighting follows him into side control.

Horrible takedown attempt by Budlung or perhaps it was just good defense by Lighting, which made it look bad.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Lighting engages and cracks Budlung with a massive lead left hook - Budlung tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Lighting is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Watanabe quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Carter has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Watanabe celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
