Newcastle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hays.
Hays dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Newcastle. That did some damage!

Our sources have told us that Newcastle has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Hays pushes Newcastle back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alton Newcastle.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Newcastle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rubin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rubin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sackett enables Rubin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sackett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
