The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice lands an overhand right.
Jason slips a jab and a cross from Nice.
Jason could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nice fails with the takedown.
Nice looks to land a right hand but Jason moved out of range.

Nice shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nice was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nice tries to score with some ground and pound. Jason controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Nice decides to stand back up. Nice steps back and let's Jason get back to his feet.

Boner drops Burn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Burn looks back up at him and smiles so Boner waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Burn ducks into an uppercut from Boner and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silvain Bourcier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Endleman Schubert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bourcier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Misha Calvin - Ready or not. Schubert has chosen Seve by Tez Cadey as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Dawson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rat fails with the takedown
and Dawson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dawson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rat at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rat is defended easily by Dawson.
Rat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abu Rat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dawson stuns Rat with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rat is breathing heavily.

Dawson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rat sprawling to the canvas! Rat rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dawson finish him?!

It looks like Abu Rat has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rat leaves his chin hanging out and Dawson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Rat crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
