Berg uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Flaminio has time to react.

and Flaminio takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Flaminio shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Berg manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Berg is in a horrible position here. Flaminio smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Flaminio should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

My spies in THE GYM (20 Elite coaches on the Island !!!) inform me that Flaminio has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
What can Berg do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Flaminio has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Flaminio is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Flaminio gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Flaminio gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Flaminio apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Steinn Berg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Berg lands a big uppercut and Flaminio crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Flaminio looks OK. Berg waves Flaminio back to his feet!
