The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zegan as he jumps to the side.

Zegan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Downem has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Zegan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Downem tries a body shot but Zegan blocks it.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Downem manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the ropes.

Downem has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Zegan regains guard immediately.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zegan is on top in guard.

Zegan wants to pass the guard but Downem is keeping the position.

Zegan sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Downem doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Zegan paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Downem - great work!

Harris walks into a straight right hand from Poe.
A big right from Harris misses.
Poe connects with a right hand. Harris shakes it off.
Poe cracks the inside of Harris's front leg.

Poe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Harris's head backwards.
Harris tries to bum rush Poe with a series of wild strikes but Poe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Phil Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poe scores with the left hand. Harris knows he should have avoided that one.
Poe slips under a jab.
Harris is looking to clinch but Poe is avoiding it.
Poe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Poe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris looks to land a left hand but Poe moved out of range nicely.
Harris chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Poe can pounce on him.
Harris throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Poe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Harris throws a hook to the side of Poe's head but Poe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Poe connects with a leg kick. Harris looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cameron Poe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Poe is looking to slow Harris down with leg kicks.
Poe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Harris at a distance.

Harris drops his hands momentarily and Poe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Harris sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Poe batters Harris with a massive right followed by a huge left! Harris is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Poe lands a final crushing right hand to drop Harris to the mat with a gruesome thud! Poe is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
