Graves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gates looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gates gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gates wants to get back to full guard.

Gates is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Graves pulls his head out easily.
Graves lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karim leaves Estrada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Karim was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Karim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
No joy there for Karim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Estrada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karim as he avoids it easily.

Estrada shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karim's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Estrada stands up over Karim, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Estrada trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Estrada drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Estrada jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Karim might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Estrada with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Estrada wants to control from the top but Karim keeps moving.
Estrada tries to free his leg and advance position but Karim is retaining full guard.
Estrada has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Karim has hold of Estrada's hands but Estrada slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Estrada lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Estrada maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Karim could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Estrada has cracked it and Karim is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Estrada!

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Kennedy moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Dinkledorff! Kennedy continues to tee off on Dinkledorff, landing with a left and a right! Kennedy connects with a right hand that leaves Dinkledorff sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Kennedy!

Grimes will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Grimes tries to clinch up but High pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Grimes to the mat!
