These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Accurate throws a leg kick
and Accurate takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Accurate moves out of range of the strikes.
A combination from McGregor does no damage.
McGregor misses with a few strikes there.
Accurate throws a head kick that misses.

McGregor has managed to clinch.

McGregor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McGregor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Accurate being controlled here momentarily.
McGregor wants to sweep here but Accurate controlling him for the moment.
Accurate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGregor is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Accurate frees his head nicely. Oh but McGregor has switched to an armbar! Accurate is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Valdez Sr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Valdez Sr showed some decent athleticism there.

Valdez Sr seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Valdez Sr is leaning against Wright and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Valdez Sr throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Valdez Sr gets a takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wright won't allow Valdez Sr to pass to mount.

Valdez Sr seems to be looking for submissions.
Valdez Sr is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Valdez Sr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Valdez Sr postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wright to stand up.
Wright goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Valdez Sr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Valdez Sr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valdez Sr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Valdez Sr has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Valdez Sr sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Valdez Sr throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Wright holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Valdez Sr tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeronimo Valdez Sr will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

It looks like Jeronimo Valdez Sr has been cut.

Valdez Sr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Valdez Sr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Valdez Sr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wright is working an open guard so Valdez Sr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Lionel Wright seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wright lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Wright throws a head kick that Valdez Sr semi-blocks.
Wright lands with a kick to the temple. Valdez Sr shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wright has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Valdez Sr is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Valdez Sr feinted with a counter takedown.
Wright feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Valdez Sr's calf.
Wright throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Valdez Sr misses with a takedown attempt - Wright sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Wright.

Wright lands a big head kick that sends Valdez Sr tumbling to the mat! Wright takes a step backwards and waves Valdez Sr back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ansari shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khasbulaev defends it nicely.
Khasbulaev steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ansari.
Khasbulaev throws a counter combo.
Ansari throws a right hand that Khasbulaev ducks under and follows up with a left that Khasbulaev also avoids with ease.
Khasbulaev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Khasbulaev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Khasbulaev takes one on the button.
Khasbulaev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ansari misses with a takedown attempt - Khasbulaev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ansari tries to close the distance and clinch but Khasbulaev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No joy there for Khasbulaev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ansari scores with a leg kick.
A jab from Khasbulaev finds it's way through Ansari's defenses.
Ansari walks into a straight right hand from Khasbulaev.

Ansari is rocked!
Magomedrasul Khasbulaev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ansari fails with the takedown
and Khasbulaev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oh Ansari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aziz Ansari. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ansari shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Khasbulaev counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Ansari off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Khasbulaev follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Ansari was out before he hit the floor.

After the big win, Magomedrasul Khasbulaev made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Mohito Fightwear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
In defeat, Aziz Ansari stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back not matter how many times i get knocked out. I'm hard headed and wont stop. I'm coming for you.'.
