The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov shoots in for a takedown but Merrill shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Merrill gets in close and instigates a clinch.

I think Altair might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Assassin's Creed. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Josh Martino was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Martino connects with a body shot.
Martino throws a head kick but Altair moves out of range.
Martino lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Altair circles away quickly and effectively.

Martino feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Altair's calf.
Josh Martino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Altair displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martino throws out the jab.
Martino tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Altair wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Martino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Altair moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Martino thows a left - swing and a miss!
Martino cracks Altair with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Altair steps in with a hook that catches Martino right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Altair follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Martino looks absolutely devastated.

Lion comes to the cage accompanied by Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. On his way into the cage it seems that Snoop Lion has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Snoop Lion seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Minister wants to clinch up but Lion keeps it at a distance.

Lion gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lion tries to score a body lock takedown but Minister shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Lion is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Minister is defending well.

Minister is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lion can't fight it off and eventually Minister manages to take the fight to the floor. Lion looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lion bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Minister's guard.

Lion wants to get up but he can't break Minister's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lion throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Minister works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Minister is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lion defends well.
Lion tries to free his leg and advance position but Minister is retaining full guard.

Minister escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Minister has momentary wrist control but Lion slips an elbow through the middle.

Minister has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lion can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lion postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minister is trying to keep Lion in close.

Lion has gone for a leg lock! Minister slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lion's guard.

Minister trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lion's guard.

Lion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Minister can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lion lands a decent punch to the body there.

Lion has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Minister doesn't defend quickly enough and Lion has managed to lock this one up! Can Minister escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lion on a fantastic submission victory.

and Pompier counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Gatsalov badly! He tries to strike back but Pompier puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Gatsalov out cold! Oh man, Gatsalov will never hear the end of this one!

Darrow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Beltshazar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Darrow lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Beltshazar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Beltshazar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Darrow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beltshazar manages to avoid it.

Darrow throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Beltshazar lands a jab-cross combination.

Darrow is aggressively charging in as Beltshazar backs up avoiding any damage. Beltshazar tosses out a jab and Darrow runs right into it face first! Darrow is out cold! Beltshazar dropped down on all fours and is barking in Darrow's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

In his post fight interview, Ryan Beltshazar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
