The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kage blocks a head kick by Malaks.
The fighters circling - Kage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Malaks.
Malaks tries to close the distance and clinch but Kage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Malaks looks to land a body kick but Kage moved away.
Kage takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Malaks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kage is really squeezing tight and eventually Malaks passes out! Kage breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Brock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Takila counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Takila lands with a thumping leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Brock 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A slow jab from Brock misses its intended target.
It appears Takila was looking to counter with a kick there.
The crowd cheers as Takila lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brock doesn't seem phased though.

Takila lands a big right hand that sends Brock crashing to the mat! Takila stays standing though and waves Brock back to his feet!

Brock is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A chopping leg kick lands by Takila.
Brock is still on wobbly legs! Can Takila finish him?
Takila fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brock manages to avoid it.
Brock seems to have recovered his senses.

Brock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brock showed some decent athleticism there.
Takila definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Takila on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Takila tries to get out of the position.
Brock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Charles will probably get the nod.

Montez shoots in looking for a takedown. Charles tries to sprawl out of it but Montez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Charles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Danny Charles.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Charles, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tolbert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Khan wants to get back to his feet but Tolbert is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tolbert is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
