Hetfield comes into the arena with Find Ya Wealth blaring out of the sound system. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hetfield feints and then cracks Stubb's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stubb down.
Hetfield on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hetfield tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stubb was well out of range. Poor timing from Hetfield.
Hetfield rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stubb counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hetfield throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Stubb gets a clinch.

Hetfield manages to break the clinch.
Stubb throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hetfield stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hetfield misses the shot to the body.
Hetfield takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Stubb throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Alexander Stubb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hetfield moves forwards but Stubb connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hetfield thuds his right hand into Stubb's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stubb cracks Hetfield with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Stubb scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stubb misses with an uppercut.
A lazy left from Stubb finds it's target.

Hetfield is rocked!
Hetfield throws a shot from downtown. Stubb moves away and avoids it.
Oh Hetfield is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stubb dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stubb grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Hetfield takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Stubb cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Palmier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Khan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Palmier defends it well.
Palmier lands a jab to the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Khan swats away the attempt to clinch by Palmier.
Khan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan ducks right into an uppercut from Palmier.

Palmier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Palmier shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Khan eats them both and turns towards Palmier to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Palmier scores with a nice right hand.

Palmier lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Palmier scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Khan doesn't seem bothered though.
Khan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Palmier closes the distance and clinches.
Khan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Khan has had enough of the clinch but Palmier keeps him there for the moment.
Khan jumps guard but Palmier stands there with Khan around his waist. Khan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Khan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Khan's coach down at The Hut - $50 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Khan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Palmier is pushing Khan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

A short body shot lands from Palmier as the two fighters clinch.
Palmier throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Khans head.

Khan is rocked!
Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Palmier just stands there and leans against the cage.
Khan is still on wobbly legs! Can Palmier finish him?
Fernardu Palmier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Temoodschin Khan.

Palmier cracks Khan with a nice body shot.
A left hand lands to the body for Palmier.
Palmier creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Khan with a big uppercut! Khan tries to clinch up but Palmier pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Khan to the mat! Khan covers up and Palmier unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fernardu Palmier!

A very excited looking Fernardu Palmier made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
