The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dar shoots in looking for a takedown. Stanescu tries to sprawl out of it but Dar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stanescu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stanescu throws a push kick but Dar slaps the foot to one side.
Dar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Nichita Stanescu has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stanescu enables Dar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stanescu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
