The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sokratis clinches up against the cage.
Sokratis lands a hook to the side of the head.

Koreshkov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Koreshkov manages to end up in side control.

Koreshkov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sokratis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Koreshkov's guard! Nice work there by Sokratis!

Koreshkov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sokratis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sokratis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koreshkov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Koreshkov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sokratis escapes and throws Koreshkov's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Sane seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Lhant bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McKenna has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
