Heyman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Finch is pushing Heyman's head away, looking to escape. Heyman manages to hold on to the position though.
Heyman tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Finch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heyman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Heyman throws an elbow but Finch slips to the side and avoids it well.

Heyman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Finch has escaped the position, nice work there.

Heyman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Heyman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Finch's face as Heyman controls the position.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sagdiyev has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sagdiyev and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Steele isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gallardo stacks Steele on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gallardo!

Gallardo stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gallardo. Steele does a little dance to reset his feet.
