Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zad Maldan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Der Debil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Debil has chosen Bulimic as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Debil misses with a left hand
and Maldan counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Der Debil has been cut.

Maldan gets caught flat footed, as Debil shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Maldan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Debil cracks Maldan with a solid left hand.

Maldan looking for a guillotine here but Debil defends easily.

Maldan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Debil can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Debil makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Maldan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Debil drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Debil seems to have locked his on tight now - Maldan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Debil, as he picks up the win!

Steel has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Steel fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Child.
Child throws a hook to the side of Steel's head but Steel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And Steel counters with a quick kick to the body but Child blocks it.
Steel throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Child just misses with a punch to the body.
Steel stuffs the takedown.
Child waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steel.

Steel appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

We've been informed that Child has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

That was a close second round but I would say that Butch Steel will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Child looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Child throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steel's waist but Steel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Child off to one side.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Child crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Steel - the referee stops the clock and Child gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Steel. Child manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
