The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Brophy.
Beast does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Beast connects with an inside leg kick.
Beast tests Brophy's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Brophy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beast quickly recovers to half guard.

Brophy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Beast has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beast is trying to maintain the position but Brophy is very close to passing his half guard.
Beast wants to improve his position but Brophy is controlling well.

Brophy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

I really don't envy Brophy right now.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jo Yabuki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Yabuki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shore is just riding it out for now. Yabuki eventually gives up the hold.
Shore pushes Yabuki off looking to stand but Yabuki dives back in and keeps control.

Shore lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Shore shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Yabuki eats them both and turns towards Shore to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Yabuki dives in and grabs Shore's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shore pushes down on Yabuki's head and hops out.

We've been told by Shore's head coaches at Team Alpha Success that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Shore lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Yabuki can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Shore and Yabuki drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Shore.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brazier swinging wildly here.
Brazier misses with a body shot.
Brazier cracks Lord with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lord's jab looks to have found its range, popping Brazier under the eye.

It seemed like Lord was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lord bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brazier looks to land a combination but Lord avoids it well.
Brazier misses with a body kick.
Conor Brazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brazier misses with a wild body shot.
Brazier moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Brazier slips under a jab from Lord.
Brazier looks to score with a jab to the body but Lord is just out of range.
Brazier tries to bum rush Lord with a series of wild strikes but Lord uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lord takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Brazier lands a big head kick that sends Lord tumbling to the mat! Brazier takes a step backwards and waves Lord back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Brazier ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Lord out cold! The fight is over!
