Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladik Fedotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker comes to the cage accompanied by It's Amazing by Kanye West. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 26 - 2, fighting out of New York, Vladik Fedotov!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slyker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Slyker lands in his opponent's guard.
Fedotov seems keen to control Slyker's posture.
Slyker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fedotov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fedotov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fedotov manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Slyker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fedotov gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Slyker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
