The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Heed tries to clinch but fails miserably
and King counters with a three punch combo that has Heed backing up. Heed nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.
Heed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Heed persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.
King slaps away a takedown attempt from Heed, before circling back to the center of the mat.
King is looking for a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Heed dives in and scores a takedown into King's guard.

King has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Heed is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Heed changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Heed creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Heed throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and King works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Heed looks to land a strike but King avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Heed stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! King throws up his legs and catches Heed in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Heed tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by King! That came out of nowhere!
