The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vinni gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A nice left hand lands by Vinni.

Vinni has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Vinni gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Vinni has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Johnson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vinni yanks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vinni.

Thuny misses the body punch
and Aliv counters with a thumping low kick.
Aliv looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thuny lands a lovely overhand right.
Aliv tries to land a front kick but Thuny steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Aliv keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Aliv gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thuny.

Aliv is rocked!
Thuny lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Aliv up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Thuny from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Aliv's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Beton seems to be working for a kimura but Bogart defends the submission attempt.

Beton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Beton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
