The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy closes the distance and clinches up with Fredrick, looking for a takedown. McCarthy pushes Fredrick against the cage but Fredrick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fredrick drops McCarthy with a nice combination! Fredrick dives into McCarthy's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Erik McCarthy has been cut.
McCarthy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCarthy is on top in guard.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agapito Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters had to take extra time to make weight as they missed the initial 145lb limit. Daniel Cox came in at 147.8 and Agapito Sanchez came in at 148.0 but after the extra two hours, both guys managed to get within the one pound allowance. No doubt it will have affected them physically though, so let's see if that has an impact on the fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Tuft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satriyo Arie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuft kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike - The Hum . Satriyo Arie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Satriyo Arie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Gotlib.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funkhouser throws a sloppy body shot
and Nicu counters with a low kick, right behind Funkhouser 's knee.
Nicu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Funkhouser throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nicu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Funkhouser's calf.
Trenton Funkhouser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicu cracks Funkhouser with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nicu seems to be stalking Funkhouser here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Funkhouser drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
