Tambling closes the distance but Mac moves to the side

and Mac counters with a takedown into side control.
Tambling wants to get back to his feet but Mac drags him back down.

Mac has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tambling is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mac yanks on the arm and Tambling is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cranston looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Quincy throws a fast counter high kick but Cranston manages to duck under it in time.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Quincy - that will leave a mark!
Cranston shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quincy as he avoids it easily.
Cranston fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cranston or perhaps it was just good defense by Quincy, which made it look bad.
Quincy thinks about the counter body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Cranston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cranston is looking to clinch but Quincy is avoiding it.
Quincy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Cranston on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Quincy. Quincy obviously looking to wear him down.
Quincy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cranston gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cranston wants to stand but Quincy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Quincy closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Cranston out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Silker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alves.
Alves throws out a loose jab but Silker uses good head movement to avoid it.

After the fight, Klas Micropop was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
