The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fontes misses with a two punch combination.

Light closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Light lands in his opponent's guard.
Fontes is wriggling around but Light manages to pass to half guard.

Fontes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Light on the ground.
Light is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fontes wants to control but Light is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fontes is not content to let Light control the position.
Light looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fontes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Light is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ken lands with a nice combination. Bowen backs away looking to recover.

Bowen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Bowen has hold of Ken's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ken tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bowen cranks the arm and Ken screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ken, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Bobby Bowen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Max Octane Fight Wear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
