The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azevedo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Randhawa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Azevedo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Azevedo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Randhawa has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
It looks like Azevedo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Randhawa is working for a rear naked choke. Azevedo is not defending it well and Randhawa has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Azevedo refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Azevedo's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
