The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aliev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Voront, pushing him back against the cage.

Voront manages to pull guard.
Aliev sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Voront controls Aliev momentarily but Aliev frees himself.
Aliev is looking to stand up but Voront won't let him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Voront can do anything to dispel that myth.
Aliev controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Aliev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voront swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Aliev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aliev shoots in looking for a takedown. Voront tries to sprawl out of it but Aliev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Voront manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mendez shoots in looking for a takedown but Kowalski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mendez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kowalski drops Mendez with a beautiful combination! Mendez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kowalski is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kowalski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mendez circles away quickly and effectively.

We've been told by Kowalski's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kowalski feints with a jab and clips Mendez right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Mendez is sent crashing into the canvas and Kowalski leaps in for the kill! Mendez tries to get to his feet but Kowalski is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Mendez is in need of a savior and steps in!

After the fight, Sven Kowalski was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hamed sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Hamed on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Bronson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bronson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
