Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wei Liu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Fuller!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuller throws a nice outside leg kick.
Liu fails with a takedown attempt.
Liu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fuller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Liu fails to land the takedown.
Liu has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wei Liu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Fuller.
Fuller throws a head kick that Liu semi-blocks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fuller lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fuller throws a good cross that connects.
Fuller jabs at Liu's body.

Liu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fuller is fending him off so far but Liu persists. Nope, Fuller circles away and we're back to standing.
Fuller scores with a jab to the head.

Liu is rocked!
Liu shoots in for a double leg but Fuller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oh Liu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fuller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liu. That did some damage!
Liu seems to have got his legs back now.
Fuller is looking to slow Liu down with leg kicks.
Liu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Liu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A good leg kick by Fuller.
Fuller has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Good exchange - Fuller coming out on top.
Fuller throws a head kick that half lands.
Liu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fuller counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fuller stuns Liu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Liu is breathing heavily.

A slapping leg kick lands for Fuller.
Fuller throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Liu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fuller throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Liu colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Fuller as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Liu is left battered and dazed whilst Fuller and his camp cheer!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stub is looking to clinch.
Whipple went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Stub fails with a takedown attempt.
Whipple slaps away a takedown attempt from Stub, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Whipple is looking to slow Stub down with leg kicks.
Whipple swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stub.
Stub shoots for a double leg takedown but Whipple sprawls well. He's pushed Stub's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Owen Whipple has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Py Stub.
Whipple paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Stub tries to sprawl but Whipple drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Whipple is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stub is doing well to control the position and prevent Whipple from advancing to side control.

Whipple is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stub is just riding it out for now. Whipple eventually gives up the hold.

Whipple is thwarting Stub's attempts to control the position.
Whipple is trying to control. Stub wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Stub wants to control but Whipple is keeping busy.
Whipple throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Whipple is looking for a kimura but Stub is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Whipple to get the leverage.
Stub is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Whipple scores with a couple of nice shots.
Stub is looking for a sweep. Whipple is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stub is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Stub won't allow Whipple to pass to mount.
Stub has hold of Whipple's hands but Whipple slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Whipple looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stub with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Whipple trying to control the action but Stub is working from the bottom.
Whipple is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stub is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Whipple is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Whipple wants to pass to mount but Stub is defending the position.
Whipple has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Whipple is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Whipple is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Stub is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Whipple has latched onto it... Big trouble! Whipple pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Stub is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Whipple!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mosby digs a good body shot into Veigne's ribs.
Mosby has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Veigne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mosby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lucas Veigne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Veigne goes for a small jab and connects. Now Veigne goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Mosby stumbles back but Veigne runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Mosby to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Mosby will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lucas Veigne!
Lucas Veigne is the new light heavyweight champion!

Owens tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Brubaker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Brubaker blocks a head kick by Owens.
Brubaker chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Brubaker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Owens looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Owens falls off balance throwing a combination
and Brubaker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Owens misses with an uppercut
and Brubaker counters with a head kick. That will keep Owens thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Brubaker getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Owens darts in trying to clinch
and Brubaker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Owens is rocked!
Jayline Owens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brubaker scoring well with a low kick there.
Oh Owens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Owens got wobbled bad by a big combination! Brubaker presses forward with punches and knees until Owens stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Owens closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!

A less than humble JB Brubaker misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
