The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anstey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Light, pushing him back against the cage.
Light tries to pull guard but Anstey holds him up against the cage and eventually Light drops back down to his feet.

Light manages to pull guard.
Light not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Light working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anstey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anstey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anstey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

I was talking to Anstey's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Light is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anstey to keep the fight standing.

Bunny Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Light.

Light turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Light manages to end up in side control.

Cropp has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bri uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cropp.
Cropp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bri.

Cropp sends Bri crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cropp is motioning to the referee to let Bri up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
