Osa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vankill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponomarenko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Belcher misses with a hook
and Ponomarenko counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Jake Belcher has been cut.
Ponomarenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Belcher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ponomarenko.
Nice sprawl there from Ponomarenko as Belcher shoots in.
Belcher doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Belcher gets the takedown into side control.
Ponomarenko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Ponomarenko tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Belcher is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ponomarenko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Belcher creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ponomarenko sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Ponomarenko takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Belcher tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Belcher has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
