The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Joyce throws a right hand that misses
and Pereira counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Joyce wants to stand up but Pereira is controlling him.
Pereira is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Joyce is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Joyce has escaped and now he's on top!
Pereira looking for a guillotine here but Joyce defends easily.
Pereira has Joyce pulled in close to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Joyce has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pereira to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Joyce is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pereira pulls down on the head and he's put Joyce to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marcus Pereira!

Nice jab there from Collins.
Collins sizes up Looped with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Looped works over Collins's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Henry Collins has been cut.
Collins lands a head shot.
Collins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Looped fails with the takedown
and Collins makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Collins walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Looped drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Collins swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Looped's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
