And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Obat Timur!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Timur clinches up with Kontio and pushes him back against the cage.
Timur lands a good knee to the midsection. Kontio won't want to take too many of those.
Timur putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Kontio in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Kontio drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Timur jumps guard and drags Kontio to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Timur trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kontio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Timur has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kontio has managed to get both his arms back between Timur's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kontio advances position into side control!

Kontio working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Timur wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Kontio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Timur keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kontio has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Timur is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kontio yanks on the arm and Timur is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kontio.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Winston Roscoe!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.

Tate shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Roscoe sprawls well. Roscoe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tate gets slowly back to his feet.
Roscoe is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Roscoe has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Tate drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tate is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Roscoe keeping full guard, as Tate tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tate thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roscoe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tate is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Roscoe is defending against the submission attempts here by Tate.
Roscoe is looking for a sweep. Tate is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tate is trying for a kimura here. Roscoe looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Tate wins by kimura!
