Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haigh comes to the cage accompanied by Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against . Datsik comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Classic kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Haigh throws an overhand right that lands on Datsik's shoulder, as Datsik tries to avoid the shot.
Datsik lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Haigh chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Datsik can pounce on him.

And Quint counters with a quick kick to the body but Drago blocks it.
Drago thuds his right hand into Quint's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Quint feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Drago's calf.

It looked like Quint wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ice Drago really dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
