Newell tries to bum rush Meldir with a series of wild strikes but Meldir uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Meldir fails with an attempt to clinch.
Newell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Meldir tries to roll over but Newell keeps him under control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Meldir tries to kick Newell off but Newell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
