The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szyslak slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Quinn throws a series of punches but Szyslak avoids them all with ease.

Quinn closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Szyslak's guard.
Quinn passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Quinn not doing much here.
Szyslak avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Quinn.
Quinn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szyslak in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Szyslak is desperately trying to improve his position but Quinn has a good base and remains in mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quinn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Szyslak is looking to escape.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Quinn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Szyslak can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tanaka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Collins is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Tanaka drops back looking for a leg! Collins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Collins manages to kick Tanaka off! Tanaka jumps back into Collins's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tanaka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Collins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tanaka has Collins in his guard.


Tanaka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tanaka is tightening it up a little... Collins has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Collins reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Collins taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tanaka!

Meech lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferrara circles away quickly and effectively.
Ferrara appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ferrara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Meech.
Ferrara looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ferrara tries to work over Meech's front leg with a kick but Meech checks it.
Some wild striking there from Meech.
A punch lands to the side of Ferrara 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ferrara throws a shot from downtown. Meech moves away and avoids it.
No joy there for Meech, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A left and a right from Meech both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Zack Ferrara has been cut.

Rines slaps away a takedown attempt from Hovac, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rines lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Hovac throws a solid leg kick but Rines takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hovac.
Hovac goes for a double leg but Rines avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rines continues to drive forward.

We've been informed that Rines has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Hovac ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hovac no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hovac has his foot on Rines's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rines works his way back into a safe position though.

I would just about give that final round to Trey Rines.

Crack! A monster head kick from Heartoway and Bennett falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Heartoway!

Verra feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alvarios jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Alvario throws a leg kick that misses.
Alvario seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Verra shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Alvario is backing up but Verra catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Alvario covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Verra Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Carlton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Cosh Boy has been cut.
Carlton looks to land a left hand but Boy moved out of range nicely.

Boy closes the distance and pushes Carlton back into the cage.

Carlton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Boy gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

A relieved looking Kyle Carlton thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
