The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pablos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pablos showed some decent athleticism there.
Pablos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Korotkov is trying to get back to full guard.
Pablos is controlling the pace.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Korotkov is not content to let Pablos control the position.
Korotkov's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Pablos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Teddington feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jackiewiczs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Jackiewicz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Teddington tries to clinch up
and Jackiewicz counters with a straight right hand.
Teddington doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jackiewicz counters with a good low kick that Teddington was not able to check.

Jackiewicz bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jackiewicz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Teddington has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mera bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Mera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mera is trying to get an arm triangle but Menchaka is defending well.

and Patrick counters with a series of strikes. Filipovic will be more careful next time no doubt.
Patrick misses with a hook. Filipovic ducked under it nicely.
Jean Claude Patrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filipovic throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Patrick.
Patrick lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Filipovic goes down and covers up as Patrick starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Monet chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Darrow can pounce on him.
Darrow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Monet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Monet clobbers Darrow with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Darrow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monet but Monet pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Monet lands a glancing blow to the side of Darrow's head.

Darrow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Monet pounces like a tiger and cracks Darrow with a vicious hook! Darrow is down but not out! Monet follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
