The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokka fails to land the takedown.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Resic. Pokka shrugs it off though.
Resic throws a hook to the side of Pokka's head but Pokka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Resic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pokka swats away the attempt to clinch by Resic.
Pokka lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Resic tries for a takedown but Pokka circles away easily
letting Pokka counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pokka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Resic defends it nicely.
Resic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pokka looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Resic takes the fight into the clinch.

Resic jumps guard and drags Pokka to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Pokka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Resic has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Resic goes for a double leg but Pokka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pokka continues to drive forward.
Pokka appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Pokka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Resic.
Resic feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pokka's calf.

Resic pushes off an throws an elbow but Pokka leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Pokka looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Thadee scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jianyu doesn't seem bothered though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thadee lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jianyu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jianyu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Thadee's coach down at The Bear's Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thadee's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
