Gasaspo jumps guard and drags Carmody to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gasaspo has his foot on Carmody's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carmody works his way back into a safe position though.

Gasaspo quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Carmody has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gasaspo celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Jasperdek has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Daghammar finds it's way round the side to connect with Jasperdek's head.
Jasperdek takes one on the button.
Daghammar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jasperdek was well out of range. Poor timing from Daghammar.
Jasperdek misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Daghammar throws a body shot but no joy.
Jasperdek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daghammar's waist but Daghammar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jasperdek off to one side.
Dag Daghammar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janish Jasperdek.
Daghammar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jasperdek closes this distance looking for a takedown but Daghammar circles away.
Daghammar lands with a cross.
We've been told by Daghammar's head coaches at A Hero's Journey: MMA Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Daghammar scores with a counter punch that sends Jasperdek to the canvas! Daghammar smells blood - he's punishing Jasperdek with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jasperdek has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
