Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nucky DIaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaron Bunnyhubby!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DIaz forces Bunnyhubby back against the cage and clinches.
DIaz takes a knee right on the jaw!
Bunnyhubby wants to break free but DIaz has control.
Bunnyhubby is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

DIaz is trying to trip Bunnyhubby. He has hold of a leg but Bunnyhubby is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. DIaz persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

DIaz has gone for a leg lock! Bunnyhubby slips out almost immediately though and dives into DIaz's guard.

DIaz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DIaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
DIaz is working hard here to advance position.

Bunnyhubby is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
DIaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

DIaz prevents Bunnyhubby from standing back up.

DIaz wants to work for an arm triangle but Bunnyhubby is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DIaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bunnyhubby wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bunnyhubby wants to get back to striking at distance but DIaz won't allow it.

DIaz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bunnyhubby prevents it.

Bunnyhubby wants to stand but DIaz is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nucky DIaz will probably get the nod.

DIaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
DIaz is standing up over Bunnyhubby. Bunnyhubby looks to escape but DIaz dives into side control.

Bunnyhubby is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but DIaz has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

DIaz throws an elbow but Bunnyhubby slips to the side and avoids it well.

DIaz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bunnyhubby is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
DIaz just content to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
DIaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bunnyhubby swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nucky DIaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bunnyhubby takes the fight into the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Bunnyhubby has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
DIaz has Bunnyhubby pressed against the cage, preventing Bunnyhubby from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

DIaz is pulling down on Bunnyhubby's head. It's preventing any offense from Bunnyhubby, at least for the moment.

A close second round but Aaron Bunnyhubby will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

DIaz tightens his grip and picks Bunnyhubby up, before dumping him to the ground. Bunnyhubby manages to land in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
DIaz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bunnyhubby. DIaz shrugs it off though.
Crunch! Bunnyhubby slams his shin into DIaz's torso.
Nice takedown defense from Bunnyhubby. No joy for DIaz on that attempt.

DIaz shoots in and bounces Bunnyhubby off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

DIaz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nucky DIaz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
DIaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
DIaz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

DIaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bunnyhubby makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. DIaz really felt that one!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nucky DIaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
DIaz goes for a double leg but Bunnyhubby avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bunnyhubby continues to drive forward.

DIaz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bunnyhubby can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nucky DIaz.
