The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Kock tries to keep at a distance but Crusher has taken the fight into the clinch.
De Kock drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Crusher decides to pull guard.
Crusher is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
De Kock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crusher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
De Kock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Kock is working hard here to advance position.
De Kock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crusher's guard.

Cousteau is looking to clinch.
Soderberg feinted with a counter takedown.
Cousteau cracks Soderberg with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Cousteau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cousteau lands in his opponent's guard.

Soderberg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cousteau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kasongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ognjen tries to avoid it but Kasongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ognjen to the ground. Ognjen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guerlain walks straight into a right hand from Stanfield - that's dropped him! Stanfield jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Guerlain from any more punishment! Guerlain complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A very excited looking Olaf Gustafson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
