Vance steps in with a hook that catches Dias right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Vance follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dias looks absolutely devastated.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Sonnen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Dao Sonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sonnen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Big Man stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Big Man seems to have got his legs back now.

Sonnen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Big Man sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Sonnen - that will leave a mark!
Big Man takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Sonnen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sonnen.
