Byczynski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Byczynski on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Byczynski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vimes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ishii looks to throw the jab but Vimes is out of range.
A jab from Ishii misses.
Ishii shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ishii throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ishii misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ishii slips a jab from Vimes.

Ishii rushes Vimes and presses him up against the cage.
Vimes scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Vimes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ishii backwards.
Vimes goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Ishii looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Vimes throws a quick counter kick to the body but Ishii avoids it.

Ishii fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vimes manages to avoid it.

Vimes looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Vimes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ishii stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Vimes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ishii throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ishii fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vimes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Vimes moves out of range as Ishii strikes.
Vimes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ishii on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ishii misses with a double jab
and Vimes counters with a leg kick.
Ishii swings widly with a right hand
and Vimes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vimes tests Ishii's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That kick from Vimes tenderised Ishii's leg. Ishii is trying to keep his angry face on.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ishii, as that shot connected.
A low kick from Ishii is predictable there
and Vimes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ishii's knee momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ishii throws a leg kick but Vimes checks it.
Vimes seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ishii loads up on a big right hand but Vimes slips the punch.

An inside leg kick from Ishii misses.
Ishii misses with a hook.
It looked like Vimes was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ishii throws a low kick, looking for Vimes's leg but Vimes calmly moves out of range.
Vimes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ishii slips under a jab.
Ishii avoids a kick to the body.
Ishii flicks out a counter leg kick but Vimes steps away.
Vimes cracks Ishii with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ishii throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Ishii tries to close the distance and clinch but Vimes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ishii throws out a loose jab but Vimes uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ishii, as that shot connected.
Vimes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Legionarivs Sakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Kollegah - Bossaura. Sakara has chosen The Rise of Sakara as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Sakara throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Steel will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Donk. Steel catches Sakara right on the button with a cross.
Steel steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sakara. That one must have hurt.
Sakara has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Steel throws a low kick but Sakara avoids it.
Sakara staying out of range there.
Sakara lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sakara, right into the meat.
Steel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sakara. Sakara obviously looking to wear him down.
Sakara throws out a powerful jab.
Steel swings for the body but Sakara moves out of range.
Sakara scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Steel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sakara cracks Steel with a right hand to the side of the head.
Steel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steel there as he acknowledges the shot.
We've been told by Steel's head coaches at Spetznaz Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Steel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Sakara lands a big right hand that sends Steel crashing to the mat! Sakara stays standing though and waves Steel back to his feet!

Steel is rocked!
Steel bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Sakara comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Steel falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Steel was out before he hit the floor!

An out of breath Legionarivs Sakara thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
