The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dupuit bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dupuit is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Macdonah looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dupuit gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Macdonah is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dupuit lets go of the hold and Macdonah can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macdonah fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ishihara closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Macdonah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ishihara wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
