The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Wilder is looking to clinch.
Mouse misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Van Wilder goes for a double leg but Mouse avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mouse continues to drive forward.

No joy there for Mouse, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Van Wilder looks for the body kick but Mouse saw that one coming.
Mouse throws a right hand that Van Wilder ducks under and follows up with a left that Van Wilder also avoids with ease.
Van Wilder misses with a takedown attempt - Mouse sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mouse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Van Wilder manages to avoid it.

Mouse feints with a jab and clips Van Wilder right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Van Wilder is sent crashing into the canvas and Mouse leaps in for the kill! Van Wilder tries to get to his feet but Mouse is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Van Wilder is in need of a savior and steps in!

Jejomar Binay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ragnarsson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Payne has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ragnarsson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Ragnarsson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Payne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Payne is struggling to control the position.
