The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pain sprawls well initially but Jordan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pain makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Jordan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pain.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Pain manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Velasqes tries to clinch up but Macdonah pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Velasqes to the mat! Velasqes covers up and Macdonah unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
